SCOPE / FUNCTIONAL SAFETY / SIS

EVERY FUNCTION.
A PURPOSE.

We integrate detection, logic and protection elements with a complete process perspective. Safety scope is defined by each site's requirements.

01

SIS engineering

Definition and integration of instrumented functions, safety control architectures and protection logic.

02

Fire and gas detection

Integration of UV/IR, combustible or toxic gas detection and visual or audible signaling according to the project.

03

Testing and verification

Functional and loop testing, verification of existing systems and support during commissioning and maintenance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ANSWERS TO HELP YOU DECIDE.

What does SIS integration include?

The scope may include engineering, integration of logic, instrumentation and protection elements, as well as functional testing.

Do you work with fire and gas systems?

We integrate fire and gas detection and its signaling or connection to the site's protection systems.

Can you assess an existing system?

We diagnose and perform functional and loop testing to assess existing systems according to the agreed procedure and scope.

How does an SIS differ from process control?

Process control regulates operation. An SIS executes protection functions defined by safety engineering when specified conditions occur. Its design and verification require a dedicated scope.

Can a SIL level be promised before assessing the installation?

No. Integrity requirements and safety functions must be defined and verified using the information and studies applicable to the process. A commercial description does not replace that assessment.

How is work on a safety system prepared?

Documentation, functions, operating conditions and test procedures are reviewed with the site representative. Activities are coordinated and authorized before work begins.
